Edwin Phillip Wolfe U.S. Army Medical Department collection, 1919-1929.

Much of the manuscript material consists of Wolfe's research into Revolutionary and 19th century military medicine and was not included in the published work. The collection includes correspondence, printed material and notes on the history of the Medical Dept., photos of Revolutionary medical manuscripts, photostats of medical manuscripts, some printed matter, and the monograph: Ambulances; a history to World War I with appendices relating the physical and mechanical specifications of certain models. Also includes copies of the article: The genesis of the Medical Department of the United States Army, published in the Bulletin of the New York Academy of Medicine (1929).
